On Thursday, December 18 at 7:00 pm, we will present a “Holiday Music from Around the World” concert @ West Caldwell Public Library. Sopranos Olga Shyp and Roza Bulat will be accompanied by pianist Pavel Gintov and joined for a few songs by Olga’s daughter Daria Shyp. The program will feature “Laudamus Te” by Vivaldi, “There is no Rose” by Benjamin Britten, “Gesu Bambino” by Pietro Yon, Czech, English, French, Ukrainian, and other carols. This concert, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is free and open to the public.
“Shyps & Roses” continue their Nothern NJ tour on Sunday, November 2nd, at 3:00 pm at another gorgeous and very intimate venue: Franklin Lakes Public Library.
The “Soprano Duel” program will feature beloved traditional opera duets such as “Belle nuit” from the “Tales of Hoffman” and “Cats duet” as well as unique and entertaining arrangements by “Shyps & Roses”. Performing will be Olga Shyp and Roza Bulat accompanied by Pavel Gintov (Gintov.com), “a poet of the keyboard” (“Illinois Entertainer”) and a “musical storyteller” (“Shikoku News”, Japan). The concert is free, but the seats are given on a first-come basis! Our CDs of Russian music and opera crossover (Bare soul) will be available for sale at the concert.

On Wednesday October 29th, at 7:30 pm, Shyps & Roses invite you to enjoy a concert of opera music at a very charming Livingston Public Library. The program is a part of the “Music Matters” Series, is funded by Friends of the Livingston Public Library and is free and open to everyone.
Joined by mezzo-soprano Yuki Otsuka, we will participate in the 5th annual vocal ensemble competition in Fukushima, Japan on March 24-25, 2012 and a charity concert for evacuees with Osaka Symphony Orchestra on March 29. We are collecting message cards of encouragement from our audience and fans to the people of Fukushima as the competition takes place just after the first anniversary of the tsunami disaster.

Sopranos Olga Shyp and Roza Tulyaganova, mezzo-soprano Yuki Otsuka and pianist Vica Schwartzman will present their beloved program “Russian Medley” at Fort Lee Public Library on March 11th at 2 pm.
Our debut CD “Shyps and Roses” was released on March 2, 2012. Songs of Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Glinka are followed by folk songs and popular works of the Russian composers of the 20th-century. Currently sold at our concerts, it will soon become available at major online retailers for purchase and digital downloads.
